Big Boy Room

So Gabe's Big Boy room has been in progress for several weeks now, but as I am losing both momentum and flexibility, it is time to be done. Here are some photos of the work in progress. Granted, we are a little further along now than the photos show, and plan to be done by Sunday. I will update as soon as the room is complete.

No News is Good News

So I had my 36 week check-up with Dr. G. this week, to which he promptly informed me that I was "not having this baby tomorrow, and see you next Thursday." I suppose that should be great news, since I was induced 2 weeks early with Gabe, but I think that I am ready. I mean, I haven't packed for the hospital or moved Gabe out of the nursery and into his own 'big boy' room yet, or even settled on names.
But I am ready to be done with waking up every 2 hours, ready to be done with heartburn and peeing all the time, random contractions, and the many other joys of being pregnant that no one really likes to talk about.
But mostly I am ready to meet our new little bundle of joy. Ready to know if it is a girl or a boy.

What was I thinking?

So, after getting a full night's sleep, I thought that it would be a great idea to take Gabe to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time on his second birthday. Luckily, it was a Wednesday night, so the place was virtually empty. Gabe had a great time climbing all over, but didn't seem to get the hang of the games. To him, it was just as much fun to put tokens into the slots as it was to ride the ride/play the game. At least it wore him out enough to sleep 12 hours that night.

Look who's 2!!

Here are some photo's of Gabe's 2nd Birthday Party at the daycare. Apparently, he didn't want to get his fingers sticky with that pesky cupcake frosting.

How to feed a Flores...

So Gabe loves to eat, and wakes up starving every morning. This is his average breakfast:
2 scrambled eggs
1 banana
1 piece of toast
1/2 cup cereal
Milk
Good thing he doesn't stop running!

Snow Day- Take II

OK- So the first 12 inches of snow were fun, but the last 4, well that was just rediculous. Here are some photos of Gabe 'helping' Daddy sweep of the deck and susequently falling off the end into the piled snow.
Funny thing is, he was madder at me for bringing him back in the house than he was at falling in the snow!

Chimney Dinner

So the annual Pierce Family "Chimney Dinner" was last weekend, and a great time was had by all. The history of Chimney Dinner probably goes back 80 years, and the tradition is carried on every year a few weeks before Christmas in Eastern Oregon. Again, dinner was held at Aunt Martha's house in Pendleton. Here 's Gabe playing with second cousin Tugg.

O Christmas Tree

Who knew picking out a Christmas Tree could be such an event. Although Gabe had great fun, I think I spent the entire time chasing him up and down the hill. Thankfully, Chris has a great eye and picked out a beautiful tree.
"Helping"

"Just try and catch me, Mama"

"This one?"
