Rough Week

This last week was especially rough for us, as Gabe fell off the play structure at Grandma's Daycare and broke his arm last wednesday. For those of you who dig this sort of thing, here is what it looked like. Although, for me, the worst part was when they had to put him to sleep in the ER to set the arm in the splint. They said that he probably won't remember it, but we'll see. In any case, the splint was on for 5 days. Fortunately, a broken arm didn't slow Gabe down as he enjoyed Alice's birthday party on Saturday at the park, climbing on top of every play structure with one arm, and no fear. Here are Gabe and Alice taking a well deserved break.And of course a broken arm couldn't keep Gabe from enjoying the weather in his backyard this weekend. So, we finally got his cast on yesterday (Monday) and this is what happens when you let a 2 year old pick out their own cast color... That's right, highlighter orange. At least he can go hunting with uncle Steve now. The orange tip of the cast is pretty much all you can see in this picture.

Flowers for Mama

Gabe picked them out himself. How sweet. The cutest part was, as Chris was unloading groceries from the car, Gabe yelled "Mama" and then brought me to the flowers without needing any reminding from Dad.

This is my 100th post!

Now that Alex is 3 months old, I thought that I'd dig out the pictures of Gabe at the same age. Check out Gabe's hair! I'd like to say that I planned it, but I am just not that organized these days.

Communication

First off, I apologize for the shabby quality. I apparently need to make some adjustments to my camera, but I find this video too hilarious to pass up. I really wish I knew what Alex was saying!

It's Bumbo Time.

That's right. Although some find this seat controversial, I find it to be a godsend for the baby who loves being upright. My only concern is that Chris loves to leave Alex on the coffee table in the seat. The chair specifically says 'Do not place on a raised surface.' However, when questioned, Chris stated "But he can't see the TV from the floor." OK, then.
